Description

The Rapid Prototyping lab comprises of Markforged 3D composite printer and several other 3D printers for quick prototyping of small unique parts. The Markforged 3D printer prints semi-flexible nylon parts that can be embedded with various fibers to increase their strength and rigidity. These fibers are carbon fiber, Kevlar, fiberglass and high strength high temperature fiberglass. The fiber can be placed like a traditional composite or to reinforce walls or holes.
